Tuition Assistance Program (TAP)
Friends of Sunrise is pleased to offer the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) for families in need of financial support. Started in 2001, TAP allocated grants based on a family's financial need and is designed to further the school's mission to enroll students from all segments of the community. Grants for the 2016-17 school year have been awarded.
The applications for the 2017-18 school year will be available beginning on October 31, 2016. Families with children who will be enrolled in the kindergarten and elementary programs for the tuition assistance year may apply, so long as at least one child is currently attending Sunrise.
Because of the complicated nature of personal finances, we use the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) application process. NAIS offers online applications and the Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) is now available for families looking to apply for financial aid. Families can login by visiting the SSS for Families website at http://sssbynais.org/parents and clicking "Complete Your PFS" or by linking directly to the PFS at https://sss.secure.force.com/familyportal.
There are some important dates and information you will need in order to complete the application and apply for our program:
TAP Guidelines (please click on the link below to determine eligibility)
Sunrise Montessori School SSS code is 4040
Please do not submit your NAIS application until AFTER November 30, 2016 to ensure it is applied to the correct academic year.
The Friends of Sunrise deadline for applications to be received by NAIS is December 31, 2016
We are delighted to be able to offer this program at Sunrise and want to remind you that it is anonymous. Sunrise Montessori will receive a score for each family and the TAP coordinator for the Board will allocate the awards on an anonymous basis. We recommend any specific questions be funneled through the school office to insure anonymity.
